GROUP CLASSES
All group lessons are 1.5 hours in 45 Templehill, Troon.
Class activities, at all levels, focus on the skills of Talking and Listening while rotating the themes of Food & Drink, Travel & Transport, Accommodation, Destinations & Tourist Information, Events & Excursions, Numbers including Shopping, Prices & Quantities, Chit Chat & Conversation. Pronunciation and relevant grammar concepts are incorporated throughout.
There are four blocks of learning in each year long course.
Estudio español – Absolute Beginners – Beginners
A starter course best for people with no prior knowledge of Spanish. After completing the first block of lessons, students typically complete the rest of the beginner’s course. Alongside developing holiday vocabulary, by the end of the year learners will be able to communicate in a range of tenses. Typically, there will be four opportunities in the academic year to start this course. Learners confident about the basics may wish to join from Block 2 onwards.
Sol y Sangría – Pre-Intermediate
This course progresses from beginner level and will also suit people who have a decent level of Spanish vocabulary but need help to make better use of it within more detailed conversations and transactions. Students typically feel ready to approach more in depth grammar topics at this stage.
Otra Ronda, Por Favor – Intermediate
Best for people with an intermediate level of Spanish, or those who have completed Sol y Sangría, and want to develop deeper conversational skills to improve their experience when travelling to Spanish speaking locations. In this course you will also progress your knowledge of all major tenses.
Mucho Más – Intermediate – Advanced
Mucho Más is the continuation of Otra Ronda, Por Favor and is the Spanish weekly group class for Intermediate – Advanced learners. As with all courses, conversational skills remain a priority and lessons continue to be based on holiday experiences alongside a wider range of grammar to support independent progress.
Más que Menos – Advanced
Más que Menos will be added this year for the most advanced learners. Students will cover all remaining, essential aspects of grammar as they continue to improve their conversational skills and cultural knowledge within practical, travel related contexts.
¡Vamos! – Any level
¡Vamos! is an intensive group class designed to help learners prepare for an upcoming holiday to a Spanish speaking destination over a short period of time – typically two – four weeks. ¡Vamos! will cover essential topics for holidays delivering practical and useful content that can be put into practice immediately.

Bespoke private lessons for people learning Spanish at any level.
Estudio Exprés – Quick Spanish!
A fast paced beginner’s course for people wanting to communicate effectively and authentically with Spanish speakers.
Español Extra – Extra Spanish!
Independent learners who want to make an occasional check in with a professional teacher to support progress. This can be arranged as frequently/ infrequently as you like.
¿Charlamos? – Shall we chat?
Suitable for people with a level of conversational Spanish looking to keep up their Talking skills and have an informal chat with guidance and tuition, as required.
TUTORING
Pupils sitting their SQA exams can sign up for flexible tuition sessions to support their progress in their National, Higher and Advanced Higher Exams. This could be especially useful to help prepare coursework such as Talking or Writing Assignments or, for continual support throughout the course, avoiding last minute cramming or panic!
Students at college or University can sign up for flexible tuition sessions and request bespoke support.

All learners will have login details for learning Spanish online and bespoke games to practise Spanish.
Social events included in group class fees – December and June.
